 Hello friends!

I'm Evin, the girl behind the lens. That’s right, I said girl. My parents cursed me by spelling my name this way.. It’s pronounced ‘a-veen’ and I assure you its a girls name in another part of the world.

I'm a psychiatric nursing student, travelholic, sarcasm specialist and head over heels in love with documenting anything and everything on camera.

My family immigrated to Canada from Kurdistan in 1995 and have been so blessed to end up surrounded by the beautiful mountains in B.C. that in so many ways resemble our first home. I am passionate about people and preserving some humanity in this world and so incredibly blessed to call Canada my home.

My spark for photography was struck when I travelled to Ghana in 2007 with my clunky little point-and-shoot Nikon. I became obsessed with the colours and cultures of the world and since then I haven’t been able to put it down (although I’ve upgraded since the potato camera). Above all else I love to travel, I've made it to so many amazing countries and am so looking forward to adventuring my way around the rest of the world. If you want to check out some of my more personal life and travel experiences check out my Instagram feed below or here.

That’s basically me in a nutshell, thanks for taking the time to stop by! I can’t talk about myself for too long or I get awkward but you should meet me, I think I’m hilarious!
